CULTURAL PRESERVATION
By protecting and persevering healthy landscapes we provide space for Indigenous people to safely practice their traditional cultural lifeways in their ancestral homelands.
why it’s important
It is not enough to simply save the land, but also to preserve the culture that has thrived upon it for thousands of years. Cultural preservation builds a better sense of place by honoring the legacies of indigenous people and protecting and preserving the values, customs, traditions, and social structure in which we thrive.
Our Projects
We are continually expanding our cultural programs.
Cultural Respect Easements
Cultural Respect Easements provide safe space and access for indigenous people to exercise their traditional knowledge and preserve those traditions for future generations.
Cultural Programs
We support programs that educate people about the environment and sustainable practices.
Inititives
We take on a variety of initiatives to support cultural preservation.
